The work we are doing with this age group is exciting and at the forefront of a developing relationship between Hythe Town FC and Hythe Town Youth FC. We have worked hard to establish a talented coaching team with specialised areas of knowledge to ensure the players receive the best development they can.

There are exciting opportunities to progress into higher levels of the game, and with a good mix of grassroots, district and pro club experience among the coaching team we can ensure maximum support to all players as they progress with Hythe Town Youth FC.

Our philosophy is a simple one – the more you put in, the more you get out. That is why as well as teaching football we educate our young people how to sustain a healthy diet, teach them home workouts and encourage an all-round healthier lifestyle.

Herbie Tyler says: “My love for football came from both my Granddads. Both to this day are avid supporters of non league football and one is even a fellow blue! If it wasn’t for them I probably wouldn’t have found ‘the beautiful game’ which I completely live and breathe! So I owe a special thank you to them for steering me on the right path! I remember as a young boy I wore my Chelsea 1997/98 season review video tape out so much I had to find another copy! Growing up watching Gianfranco Zola tear players apart, Dennis Wise work like a machine across the entire field, and Frank Le Boeuf tackle like an ox will always be a favourite memory of mine.”
Herbie's experience: Lyminge FC (Player), Folkestone Invicta Youth FC (Coach), Kent FA (Development Officer), Shepway District Football (Head Coach), Gillingham FC Youth (Coach), Hythe Town First Team (Assistant Coach)

Dexter Gondongwe says: “Unlike most people, my love for football was not bestowed on me by my parents. I started loving the game when I realised it was the only time in my life I felt completely at peace – Nothing else matters when I play football except trying my hardest and making sure I do everything I can to help my team leave with 3 points. I still remember my first game watching Thierry Henry glide past players and laying everything on the line for his team. It was in that moment that I realised football was my first love.”
Dexter's experience: Hendon FC Youth (Player) Dynamo United FC (Player), Hawkinge Youth FC (Player), Ashford United FC (Academy Player), Folkestone Invicta Youth FC (Player), Folkestone Invicta FC (Player), University of Birmingham 1sts (Player), Lydd Town FC (Player), Ashford Town FC (Player), Dynamo United FC (Coach), Shepway District Football (Coach)

Chris Axon says: “I have always been around football since I was a kid and as a result I started playing at a very early age. My love for the game started back then! And now my love for playing has turned into a love of coaching which I’m lucky enough to have done for the past 10 years!”
Chris's experience: Hythe Town FC Reserves (Player), New Romney FC (Player), Folkestone Invicta Youth FC (Coach), Charlton Athletic Community Trust (Coach), Hythe Stars & Stripes FC (Coach), Hythe Bay Primary (Coach), Youth Elite Soccer (Coach), Players Football Academy (Coach), Shepway District Football (Coach)

Julian Budd says: “My love for football started aged 10 at a club called Loughton Boys, I then moved to Buckhurst Hill Boys at U15s and that’s where I first got a taste of glory winning various bits of silverware. I then played and managed at Debden Sports and after moving to Kent both my children started playing for Hythe and here I am today as Club Chairman in my 4th year now. Now I want to help as many players from our youth set up progress into the Hythe Town F.C Senior Team! My all time favourite players are Paolo Di Canio, Carlos Tevez and Cristiano Ronaldo.”
Julian's experience: Debden Sports FC (Player), Debden Sports FC (Manager), Hythe Town Veterans FC (Player), Hythe Town Youth FC (Chairman)

Alastair Griggs says: “My footballing background started very late on. I didn’t start playing football until the end of my first year in secondary school but from that moment on I was absolutely hooked! I have always wanted to progress since that day, and having my Dad there as a great influence having played the rounds of non league football was brilliant for me. He took me to watch all the local non league clubs and if it wasn’t for my Dad I wouldn’t be where I am today!”
Alastair's experience: Hythe Town Youth FC (Player), Dover Athletic FC (Academy Player), Orpington FC (Player), Lydd Town FC (Player), Kennington FC (Player)
